This Privacy Policy explains how liupurnomo.com (the "Site"), the personal blog of Liu Purnomo ("we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit the Site. It also explains how advertising and cookies work on the Site and what choices you have.

2.1 Information you give us
- Account details. When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider, and we create a username for you. We never receive your Google or GitHub password.
- Profile details. Anything you choose to add to your profile, such as a bio or location.
- Comments and interactions. Comments, inline comments, replies, reactions, and bookmarks you create. If you comment as a guest, we store the name and email address you enter. Your email address is never shown publicly.
- Messages. The contact form opens your own email app, so we only receive what you decide to send by email.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Visit data. When you read an article we record a view with your IP address, browser user agent, and referring page. We use this to count views, prevent abuse, and understand which articles are read.
- Security data. When you sign in, comment, or change your account, we store the IP address and user agent with that session or action to keep accounts secure and to investigate misuse.
- Server logs. Our hosting and network provider processes standard technical data, such as IP address and request time, to deliver the Site and protect it from attacks.
2.3 Information stored on your device
- Session cookie (named "session"). Keeps you signed in. It is essential and is only set when you sign in.
- Theme preference (local storage). Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme.
- Cookie choice (local storage). Remembers your answer to the cookie banner.
- Cached data (IndexedDB). Keeps a copy of data you already loaded, such as articles and notifications, so pages open faster. It stays in your browser.
- Advertising and video cookies. Set by Google AdSense and YouTube, as explained in sections 3 and 5.
You can delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie means you cannot stay signed in.
3. Advertising and Google AdSense
The Site shows ads served by Google AdSense, and may also show banners from sponsors or partners. All ads are labelled "Sponsored".
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
- On your first visit we ask for your choice. With Terima semua (accept all), ads may be personalized. With Hanya yang penting (essential only), Google shows non-personalized ads. Until you choose, ads are non-personalized too. You can change your choice any time with the Pengaturan Cookie (cookie settings) link in the footer.
- Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland may also be asked for consent through Google's consent message.

4. How We Use Your Information

- To show your name, avatar, and comments next to the content you post.
- To moderate comments and protect the Site from spam, abuse, and attacks.
- To count article views and understand which content is useful.
- To show advertising that helps keep the Site free.
- To reply when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Third Party Services
We share data only with services that help run the Site:
- Google and GitHub, when you choose to sign in with them.
- Google AdSense, for advertising, as described in section 3.
- YouTube, for embedded videos. YouTube may set cookies when you play a video.
- Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the Site.
- Shops and platforms such as Lynk.id, Google Play Books, and WhatsApp. When you buy a book or product, the purchase happens on their platform under their privacy policy.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent harm to users.
6. Data Retention
- Account and profile data are kept for as long as your account exists.
- Comments stay published until you or we remove them. If your account is deleted, your comments may be removed or anonymized.
- Visit and security records are kept only as long as needed for statistics and security.
7. Your Rights
In line with Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27 Tahun 2022) and similar laws elsewhere, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your account and personal data.
- Withdraw consent, for example for personalized ads.
You can update most of your profile from your dashboard. For other requests, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account and we will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), signed session cookies that are not readable by scripts, and restricted access to the database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to Other Websites
The Site links to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please review the privacy policy of every site you visit.
