Drone Expert & Software Engineer
I'm Liu, a Full Stack Developer, Drone Instructor, and founder based in Jakarta. Over the past decade I've built companies, led teams, shipped software, and stood in front of thousands of people to teach. What ties all of it together is the ability to communicate clearly and get things done.
On the management side, I founded CV. Galeri Angkasa Sejahtera and PT. Remote Pilot Indonesia, and currently serve as IT Manager at PT Arta Daya Taruna overseeing systems that support 500+ employees daily. I know what it means to be accountable for outcomes, not just deliverables.
In tech, I started in 2013 building SEO-friendly websites and have since grown into full-stack development, shipping ERP systems, cloud infrastructure, and internal tools that run in production every day.
In the drone world, I've trained more than 5,000 pilots combined through FASI, CV. Galeri Angkasa Sejahtera, and PT. Remote Pilot Indonesia. The clients come from a wide range of sectors. On the government side, I've worked with Kementerian Keuangan, Kementerian Kehutanan, Kementerian Pertahanan, Kementerian PUPR, Kementerian Perhubungan, Komdigi, and Badan Restorasi Gambut. From the military and security sector, I've conducted trainings for TNI and Kepolisian RI. State-owned enterprises like Jasa Marga, Hutama Karya, and PT Perkebunan Nusantara have also sent their teams. On the academic side, Institut Pertanian Bogor and PENS Surabaya have brought me in as a guest instructor. The work has taken me from Aceh to Papua. Along the way I have also been involved in several large-scale national events, including drone operations at PON and Peparnas Papua, the MotoGP Mandalika security deployment, and the Pekan Kebudayaan Nasional.
A big part of my work is also helping pilots and companies with drone flight permit applications. Getting approval to fly in controlled or restricted airspace in Indonesia involves multiple agencies: SIDOPI-GO, Airnav for airspace assessment, and Ditjen Perhubungan Udara for the final sign-off. I have done this enough times that I started documenting the process into ready-to-use templates.
I have also written three books on drone operations, published through CV. Diva Pustaka and Adab Indonesia Grup. They cover drone technology basics, remote pilot airmanship, and the philosophy of flying professionally. Writing was a way to put years of field experience into something others can learn from on their own.
One project that brings both worlds together is Drone Indonesia, a community platform I built for drone pilots across the country. It includes a full LMS for online courses, and a profile system where pilots can showcase their project history and mark their availability for hire — something like LinkedIn, but built specifically for the drone community. It is available on the web at drone.co.id and as a mobile app on Google Play.
If you need someone who can lead, build, teach, and communicate, feel free to reach out.
